Who we are

We are the Shirley’s, born and raised right here in South Louisiana. We live in the small town of Church Point, home of the Buggy Festival. Richard Shirley, owner of RichLyn Customs, started welding when he was in high school. He welded off and on for 15+ years on personal projects and for friends. He worked offshore in the oil and gas industry for 17 years. He has worked several deep water projects throughout the years. In April 2022, he opened RichLyn Customs as a side business for extra money. It quickly grew into the business it is today. His wife, Carlyn, owned and operated the largest goat dairy in Louisiana at the time, until she closed in the spring of 2023. They have 4 beautiful kids. Their oldest son, Caden, enjoys helping Richard in the shop and on-site projects. They strive to bring the best quality products and services in the area. Servicing all of Louisiana, East Texas, and West Mississippi, no job is too small, too big, or in some cases too strange. Trust us when we say, “We’ve done some “strange” projects.” We hope, as a family run business, to gain your trust along with your business.
